Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? One of my most memorable childhood experiences was finding a stray kitten near our house. I secretly kept him in my room for days because I was sure my mom wouldn’t let me keep him. But when she found out, she actually said yes and that kitten stayed with me for years, all the way until he passed from old age.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I most closely identify with my mom because she’s the one who raised me and shaped who I am today. Without her, I wouldn’t be nearly as prepared to face challenges the way I am now. To me, she’s the definition of strength and resilience in difficult times.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire resilience in the face of hardship, critical thinking, and the ability to take responsibility. I value people who stand by their principles but are also self-aware enough to admit when those beliefs are flawed. The courage to recognize and accept one’s own mistakes is a trait I deeply respect.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?Ever since I was a kid, I loved sleeping and often took afternoon naps. When I was in first grade, I once took a nap after school and woke up in the evening, but I was convinced it was already morning. I packed my school bag and went to my mom, asking her to take me to school; she was confused at first, then laughed kindly when she realized what happened. That’s when I figured out it was still the same day. It was pretty funny.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I’m not really into traveling, so if time and money weren’t an issue, I’d focus on bringing my ideas to life. Since I could do that from anywhere, I’ve always been curious to live in different US states to eventually figure out where I’d want to settle down long term.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I want to pass on the value of family. I believe that strong family bonds provide support, love, and a sense of belonging throughout life. It’s important to me that they understand the importance of staying connected and taking care of each other.
