| What is your most memorable childhood experience? | I would say my most memorable experience, maybe not my favorite, was when I broke my arm. I was in 3rd grade, playing baseball. I loved baseball, and I was always very good at it. I was a hitter, so I swung for a pitch, and it hit my forearm and broke it right there. The coach made me finish the game because he didn't believe me. That experience really soured the game for me and I never went back to it once I got my cast off. |
| What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I most closely identified with my mom. We both appreciated hard work and integrity. We both had a strong sense of morals and sense of humor. She also instilled in me a love of art, fashion, design, and cinema. |
| What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness. I think each of those are very important on their own, but especially together. Those, to me, are the defining characteristics of what makes a genuinely good person. |
| What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | The funniest, in an interesting way, not in a humorous way, spanned 15 years. When I was in 3rd grade, I had two very close friends. I needed to move away, so we lost touch with each other. A couple of years later, I moved again, somewhere else entirely. Once in high school I started making more serious friends again. One time, in the middle of the night, I couldn't sleep because I knew one of my new class friends seemed so familiar. I jumped out of bed, got my mom, and we found one of my elementary school yearbooks. One of my new friends was one of my elementary school friends, 10 years later. We had each moved away to separate places, moved back to a different, but same town, and became friends again without knowing it. |
| If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would see the entire world, but I would start with the rest of Italy and the south of France. There's so much to see and experience, and with time I would see everything I could. Italy and France would be first because of the food, art, and architecture. |
| When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I want to pass on a strong sense of self identity. It's okay to be yourself, no matter what, as long as you're doing your best. |
