Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? My most memorable childhood experience being in the GATE (gifted and talented education) program for school. I was split from the classes and all of the standout students would study the next years material for math and science. It was a great networking experience, and I still keep in contact with many of those people to this day.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I am closest with my eldest sister. We both are very family oriented and don't like people who stir the pot or make other people's lives difficult. We are always trying to help people and guide loved ones through difficult times.
What character traits do you admire in an individual? The character traits I admire most are accountability and initiative. I like to see people who take action to direct a situation towards a desired outcome. When things don't go as planned, I like to see people own up to their part and learn from everything moving forward with their head high.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?The funniest thing to ever happen to me was a newspaper taking a picture of me moonwalking when I was 3. It was at a really big neighborhood block party and the camera guy loved me. We talk about that still and the picture gets pulled out at all the family events.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?If time and money were not an issue, I would love to travel to Poland and Ireland and get in touch with my roots. Ireland has really awesome folklore about fairy circles and witchcraft. Poland is my heart and reminds me all the cooking my grandparents did. Hearty meals and so many potatoes!
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?My children, should they come to be, would be best off with a determined understanding of other cultures and strong sense of self. If I could pass that on to them along with love and admiration I would be happy. I hope and pray they come out strong and bold and ready to take on the world.
