| What is your most memorable childhood experience? | Playing capture the flag with my babysitter's kids was fun. My younger brother and I would always look forward to sleepovers at their house. Her sons were a couple of years older than us and were like our brothers. We still keep in touch to this day. |
| What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify most with my father. He was somewhat of a black sheep in his family and was the only one to leave Scotland and make the life he wanted. His self-reliance and resilience are major motivating factors in my life. |
| What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire people who are kind, humble, and selfless. |
| What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | During a two-week college summer inter railing trip through Europe, I happened to run into 3 people from my high school. If you've ever been to small town, you'd understand. Bizarre didn't quite cover it. |
| If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would go back to Japan. I haven't been since I was 8 years old. The culture is incredibly unique, and the people are great. I'd love to be able to experience that again soon. |
| When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | When I have a family, there are a couple things that I'd like to pass onto my children: having a passion for life, being kind to others, a strong work ethic, and the ability to have fun. |
