| What is your most memorable childhood experience? | My most memorable childhood experience was making it to regionals with my high school swimming team. I remember being surrounded by my teammates, all of us nervous yet excited as we prepared for the competition. The moment was filled with pride because it was the result of months of hard work and early morning practices. I felt both nervous and confident at the same time, and that mixture of emotions taught me how pressure can push you to perform at your best. To this day, that memory reflects my drive to stay disciplined and reminds me of the rewards that come from consistency and teamwork. |
| What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I closely identify with my younger brother. We are close in age and shared a room growing up, which gave us countless shared experiences. We developed similar habits, like being competitive but also supportive of each other, whether in sports, academics, or personal goals. One memory that stands out is when we would stay up late talking about our dreams for the future, pushing each other to think bigger. That bond shaped my values of loyalty and brotherhood. Even now, I see how much that relationship influences the way I value trust and mutual support in all areas of my life. |
| What character traits do you admire in an individual? | The traits I admire most are ambition, sincerity, and respect. Ambition matters to me because I believe life is about growth and striving for more, no matter your starting point. Sincerity is important because I value honesty and genuine intentions, and I respect people who mean what they say and live by it. Lastly, respect is the foundation of strong relationships, it’s about recognizing the worth of others. I’ve seen these traits in mentors, coaches, and family, and they’ve inspired me to carry myself with the same mindset in how I treat people and how I chase my goals. |
| What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | One of the funniest moments I remember was during a school assembly when I accidentally tripped on the microphone cord while trying to set it up for a performance. At first, I was embarrassed, but then I started making jokes about it on the spot, and the whole room broke out in laughter. That moment reminded me that humor can turn an awkward situation into something memorable. It showed me that my natural ability to make people laugh helps me connect with others and ease tension, which has become a big part of my personality today. |
| If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | If I had the freedom, I would travel to every Caribbean Island that celebrates Carnival. The music, colors, and energy of Carnival festivals connect deeply with my love for culture and celebration. I imagine it would be an unforgettable experience to feel the joy and unity those events bring. Beyond that, I would also travel to Thailand to train in Muay Thai. I respect the discipline and tradition behind the sport, and training there would challenge me physically and mentally. Both journeys would allow me to grow personally, while also connecting with different cultures in meaningful ways. |
| When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I would like to pass on to them a strong moral compass, self-love, and the foundation of generational wealth. I believe knowing right from wrong and having integrity is one of the most valuable traits a person can carry. Self-love is equally important because it builds confidence and resilience in a world that can sometimes be challenging. Generational wealth is meaningful to me because I want my children to have opportunities that weren’t always available in my family’s past. These values represent both the lessons I’ve learned and the legacy I want to leave behind. |
