| What is your most memorable childhood experience? | One of my most memorable childhood experiences was traveling with my badminton team to tournaments when I was about twelve years old. We would take a night train to a different city in Ukraine, which always felt exciting and adventurous. After checking into our hotel, our team would gather, talk, and enjoy the time together before the competition. The tournaments were intense and competitive, and we faced strong players from many regions. Sometimes we won and sometimes we lost, but we usually brought home gold medals, and the journey itself always felt unforgettable. |
| What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify most closely with my dad. Over the past few years, I’ve noticed more and more similarities in how I think, act, and handle different situations. We spent a lot of time together when I was growing up, and his influence naturally shaped many of my habits and values. He set a strong example for me, and I appreciate the way he raised me. Because of that, I feel a strong sense of connection with him even now. |
| What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire people who are honest, because it’s so much easier to trust someone who says what they truly mean. Kindness is also important to me—how someone treats others, even in small moments, says a lot about their character. I really value rationality and the ability to stay calm when things get stressful. I also appreciate people who are reliable and consistent, because you always know you can count on them. Altogether, those traits make someone I genuinely respect and feel comfortable around. |
| What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | One of the funniest things that ever happened to me was during a badminton practice when I swung so hard that my shoe flew off and landed on the court next to us. Everyone, including the coaches, started laughing, and I couldn’t stop laughing at myself either. It became a running joke on the team for years. |
| If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | If time and money were not an issue, I would love to visit some of the most remote places in the world. I’m really curious about places like Antarctica, high mountains, and even volcanoes, because they feel so different from everyday life. I’ve always wanted to explore the ocean and even see Earth from space someday. It would be amazing to experience things that most people never get the chance to see. |
| When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | When I have children, I want to pass on the positive traits I learned from my father, like kindness, patience, and staying grounded. I also want to teach them to enjoy each day and to appreciate the simple moments in life. Living fully, staying curious, and making the most out of every opportunity are values that matter to me. I hope they grow up feeling supported and inspired to build a life they truly love. |
