What is your most memorable childhood experience?Three memories stand out: going to Disney world for the first time, my father teaching me how to mix and lay concrete, and my mother teaching me how to bake a cake.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I identify most with my father. He is an important role model to me. His assertive demeanor and work ethic always stood out to me. His call to action led me to understand the importance of self-confidence.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire the ability to be resilient, understanding the power of reciprocity, and taking initiative and action.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?I had to roleplay as a woman in a play once. I was the angry old woman who refused to admit she was wrong but was proven wrong by a 4-year-old.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I’d travel to Japan. I am a big fan of their culture and architecture. Their food is great and I try to emulate their healthy lifestyle. Lastly, the scenery and nature are something to behold.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?First, I want to instill the importance of self-reliance. Second, to teach them to understand that life is what you make of it and excuses will get you nowhere. Third, I want to emphasize the importance of taking action because sitting around and waiting for handouts is inefficient and rare to happen.
