| What is your most memorable childhood experience? | My most memorable childhood experience is visiting the coast with my father for my tenth birthday. We rode around in dune buggies, went on a coastal river tour, etc. My father had picked me up from one of my after-school activities and the whole thing was a surprise. |
| What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I closely identify with my mother. She has been a very pivotal figure in my life, and not to mention we look very similar! I wish everyone had a person as supportive as my mother has been for me in their lives. |
| What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I think the character traits I admire most in a person are scrappiness, respect for education, and conscientiousness. Life is hard, and we don't always do the right thing, but someone who accepts their mistakes and keeps striving for what is right will have my respect. Education is also just a wealth that no person can take away from you except yourself. |
| What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | This seems like an almost impossible question to answer. Life is full of ironies. I remember as a child I forgot that I had headphones in while doing some chores outside and I became convinced that our neighbor had gotten hold of my playlist somehow. |
| If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | If time and money were not an issue, I would probably travel to Bhutan. I believe they require you to have a guide while you are there, hence the money component, but it seems like a fascinating place. Nestled in the Himalayas and relatively isolated, I can only imagine the small treasures that exist there. |
| When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | If I were to have children, I would like to pass a curiosity for the world on to them. Life can feel quite monotonous without novelty, and it is imperative on the individual to find a healthy way to experience that as much as possible. The courage to be oneself exactly as you are in the moment I also think is an extremely important lesson for any person to learn, and hopefully I can pass that on. |
