| What is your most memorable childhood experience? | I participated in a city-wide breakdancing tournament and took first place in the junior division. I'd been breakdancing for almost two years at that point. What makes the memory even more vivid is that during the tournament, my parents actually lost track of me in the crowd and were worried sick, only for me to come home with the trophy in hand. It remains one of the proudest and most memorable moments of my childhood. |
| What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I closely identify with my brother because he has always taught me many things and truly believes in me. He gave me my first PC when I was 12, after noticing how passionate I was about computers. Then, when I was 17, he started teaching me programming, and eventually, I moved to the US because of him. My entire journey with technology and computers really traces back to him. |
| What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire kindness and initiative. Initiative shows that a friendship or relationship is being built from both sides, not carried by just one person, that matters a lot to me. Kindness, to me, also means honesty; I expect and value truthfulness just as much. |
| What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | Every day I find something that makes me laugh for a long time and smile whenever I remember it. No matter the time or place, I can usually find something funny, especially when I'm with friends. |
| If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would travel to Japan because I see it as the mecca of geek culture. I'm genuinely in love with Japanese culture: the cars, the video games, the fashion - all of it. |
| When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I would tell them to say yes to opportunities and learn from every experience. I still live by this myself, you can only really know if something's worth it once you've tried it. Otherwise, you're left regretting something that never even happened. |
