Updates - Family Medical History	Update received June 2018: Paternal grandmother died at age 93 from a swollen throat; she had a "Do not resuscitate" order in place. Update received July 2021: Maternal Grandmother has died at age 87 from organ failure. Update February 2024: A child is reported with Neurofibromatosis Type 1. This condtion is either inherited from an affected parent or sporadic. The donor is unaffected and there are several healthy birth reported. This is likely not donor related. UPDATE Dec 2025: Fairfax was informed that, at 20 weeks gestation, a client's pregnancy received a clinical diagnosis of polycystic kidney disease (PKD). This diagnosis was based off of ultrasound findings (per the client: cysts clearly visible on the righ kidney, absent bladder, no amniotic fluid, and no lung tissue). The child, and thus the mother, have not yet pursued genetic testing for PKD. If genetic testing on the pregnancy identifies an underlying genetic etiology, and if the egg source is not identified to carry the same finding, then the potential of testing the donor will be pursued. Until then, no underlying causative genetic link to the donor has been made.
