Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? My most memorable childhood experiences involve traveling around the country with my grandparents during summer vacations.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I am closest to my brother. He studies sociology and was involved in a lot of the same things as I, within academia and society. We have always been the best of friends.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire honesty. I deplore pandering to what the masses want and changing what you think or say in order to get by in certain situations. I like people who can be themselves at all times.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?On a Boy Scout adventure in a national park I got my self stranded on a chunk of ice in a glacier lake. I needed to be rescued by the rest of the troop with ropes and tactics. Needless to say they all got little awards that year.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would go to Germany. The people there are great and have such a good attitude. The food is just this side of exotic enough and the beer is an adventure of its own. Plus the strong US military presence there means I would not have to go far to find someone with the inside scoop on the local activities.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I am passing on to my children pride and ambition. I want them to feel proud of everything they do and to only do the things that will make them proud. Ambition is lacking in so many people and I want my children to always try to be better in work, family or satisfaction.
