What is your most memorable childhood experience?Going to my grandparents' mountain house has to be my most memorable childhood experience. It was an excellent place to live during my summers away from school. Though there weren't many children close by, my cousins, brother and I made the best of it. Our summers were filled with extraordinary growth and memories. I often reflect on the amazing times I had spent there.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?My mother. She is everything I want to be as a person. She is the absolute most caring, loving, compassionate, smart, and generous person to walk this planet. Her unconditional and unwavering support towards me has made me realize just how amazing my mother is.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?Reliability. Someone who is able to take care of everything they need and still make time for me must be admired. An overall pleasant demeanor. I consider myself a constantly positive person and admire when others also see the glass as half full. Athleticism. Being an athlete, I admire those who dedicate time and work to perfecting their athletic craft. Compassion for the fellow man. Those who are unselfish and compassionate towards their fellow man are the only types I fancy myself on being around.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?Though I can't come up with just one occurrence of something particularly funny happening to me, the stories and moments spent with my great-grandfather on my mother's side would rank towards the top of all-time funny moments. The way this now deceased, straight-off-the-boat Italian could tell a story was unparalleled. His cadence and hand gestures added a new life to any story. He also was front and center of many stories I now tell, because of his constant nonsensical stubborn ways.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?New Zealand, Vancouver. I admire the beauty and ruggedness of these places. The dramatic landscape has caught my eye from afar, and I yearn to visit them both. Also, the culture of New Zealand is very intriguing to me.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?If I ever have children I'd like to pass along all the positive things my parents have passed to me. Generosity, caring, compassion and an ever-present love. The traits I admire most are the traits I'd like to pass along to my children.
