Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? When I was about ten, my family and I were trapped on an island because we missed the last ferry for the day. We had just completed a long day of biking and were more than ready for bed. We ended up having a nice dinner on the island and booking the last hotel room on the island. It was a room with a single king sized bed so all five of us shared it. Turned out to be a great day!
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?My sister and I have a lot of similar personality traits. We are both protectionists and have a similar sense of humor. I was also close with my mom's parents. Specifically my grandpa and I were almost mirror images of each other.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire people who are very laid back and go with the flow. I appreciate people that stick to their word and are very driven in both their professional and personal life.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? When I was a senior in high school, it was my day to give a PowerPoint presentation. I forgot that my desktop background was a picture of Tyra Banks in a small bikini. For the first few minutes of my presentation, while the computer booted up, there was a large picture of a swimsuit model on the projector behind me!
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would travel to Hawaii. I am by far the happiest when I'm around the water in a tropical climate. Hawaii seems to have the laid back style I like, with many of the outdoor activities I enjoy.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? That if you work hard and do the right things the payoff in the end will be well worth the effort and sacrifice.
