Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience?Kicking the ball around with my grandfather. Just in general, being carefree and playing outside in the yard. Being with family was always very important to me growing up. It was when the family got together and just enjoyed each other's company. Living in different states now really makes me appreciate the time we had when I was younger.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?My dad because we think alike and enjoy the same things in life. He is, and always has been, my role model. I go to my dad for advice and guidance even now. He will always be there for me, and I hope to be as great of a dad to my son or daughter as he was to me.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?Intelligence, humor and honesty are the most important qualities. I admire people who are intelligent because conversations are always interesting with them and constructive. Humor is something I admire as well because humor and intelligence go hand in hand and it's something unique that a lot of people can't put together, but when they do, it's very entertaining. Lastly, honesty is a quality I admire in someone because of how hard it is to be honest sometimes. When someone is honest with you, no matter the circumstance, it's easier for you to be honest back, and build strong and trustworthy relationships with them.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?Wearing my favorite baseball team's onesie in public and seeing the reactions on everyone's faces. As I walk by, the look on other people's faces is funny, especially if they don't say anything to me. But, when people do say something to me, because of how outrageous I look, they say the funniest things. It's always a funny experience wearing the onesie, and it's a very funny conversation piece.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?Seven continents of the world. I'd like to be able to say I've been to every continent because of how different these places are. To see and experience the differences rather than read or hear about them would be very special.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I'd want them to always be themselves and not care what other people think. I never want my children to think they have to say or do something they don't want to do because it's the "norm" or they're the odd one out if they don't. I'd want my children to be the odd one out if they want to be, but also be proud. Confidence is very important, and staying true to themselves will help them build that confidence.
