Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? There are many, many memorable childhood experiences, which makes it very hard to pick one. But if I had to pick one, I would go with a sad one because it left a deep impression on me at a very early age. I was four years old, it was raining heavily and my mom sent me to the grocery store with my elder sister. Long story short, I was running on the way back home, slipped in some mud and crashed my head on a rock. Got three stitches on the forehead that eventually disappeared, but the lesson of not running in the rainy dark remains :). I guess the lasting impression it left was to never disobey instructions from those who know better.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?My dad. I feel we are more alike than I ever even thought possible. For me, the ability to think without getting emotions involved, fulfilling one's responsibility and honoring one's word are the most important features a human being can have. I have them, and as I grow older, I realize where I get it from.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?Honesty, courage, practical mindedness, trustworthiness, generosity, justice and a sense of humor.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?I used to sing a lot when I was younger and once, on the stage, in front of hundreds of people, I sang a song completely jumbled up :). Like I totally blanked and then picked up what I could remember and kinda just went with it :)
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would be in Africa or Iraq or Syria or Afghanistan helping the orphans and looking after them the way they deserve to be looked after.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?My sense of humor, my practicality, my honesty and my sense of honor.
