Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience?I played basketball for my school from the 5th through the 8th grade.  I was a decent player, and loved the experience of being able to play with my friends in front of my other friends, classmates and family in a game that I enjoyed. In the 8th grade I was one of the best players on the team, and enjoyed the place my hard work got me.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?My sister, because we share a sense of humor and a childhood.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?Morality, intelligence, practicality, and a sense of humor.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? There is no one particular memory that strikes me as the funniest thing that has ever happened to me. I do know that I always have a great time whenever my family is gathered, and there is plenty of laughter.  We all have an excellent sense of comedic timing and understanding, so humor is prevalent, but not easily retold by a raconteur.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?If time and money were not an issue, I would travel everywhere, because I couldn't run out of time, and had unlimited resources - the only reasons not to, sans fear. Places I would want to go first would be anywhere with fantastic scenery and preferably not too hot.  Alaska has always impressed me with its vistas, and I'd like to see it for myself in person.  I'd also like to experience different cultures, which is honestly anywhere that isn't in the United States (and some places in the United States).  This is why it is difficult to give a singular answer. I've some experience with Japanese pop-culture, and would like to experience its origin. I'd love to visit Ireland for my ancestral heritage and food.   The savannas of Africa would be beautiful, and the monasteries of Tibet humbling.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?My patience, humor, and enough money to be remembered as responsible.
