What is your most memorable childhood experience? | My most memorable childhood experience is going to Disney World for the first time when I was nine years old. My brothers and I had been asking to go for years and we finally got a chance to go as a family. My favorite ride was Tower of Terror because I loved the movie as a child and it was a thrilling ride to be on. I've been to Disney multiple times since then, but it just wasn't the same as my first time. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I most closely identify with my father. Not only do we look similar, but we have the same interests and are both highly motivated. I feel like I can talk to him about anything, and we can relate on most topics. Other family members have even pointed out that our decision making is almost identical. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire a person who is always honest. You can never trust someone who has lied to you or has done something behind your back to hurt you. I also admire loyalty. Someone who has loyalty shows that they will support you every step of the way, whether it is through the high times or the low. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | The funniest thing ever to happen to me was when I was riding my bicycle around the pool when I was six years old. My parents weren't home and my brothers and I thought it was a good idea to race our bikes around the pool. After my second lap, I tried to cut the turn too close and ended up in the pool. I didn't get hurt but could not stop laughing at myself. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would definitely fly to Portugal to spend time with my grandparents. They only get a chance to come to America every couple of years, so we don't get to see them that much. It would be great to see them more often, especially at this time in our lives, when they will begin to see their grandchildren start families of their own. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I would like to pass on my work ethic. It has helped me get to where I am today and I think it could help them throughout their lifetime. I would also like to pass along my intelligence, which I think could benefit them very much both in the classroom and out in the real world. |
