Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? One the most memorable experiences I had as a child was when I was ten years old and my parents took me, together with my uncles and nephews, to Florida to watch a live space shuttle launch at Cape Kennedy. Afterwards we spent three days in Orlando Disney.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I definitely identify myself the most with one of my uncles from my mom's side, with respect that he is a very spiritualistic and very deep thinking kind of individual, but at the same time he can be a hands-on, explorative, bold type of guy too.
What character traits do you admire in an individual? The character traits I value the most in an individual are consistency, honesty, moral judgment and courage.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?One of the funniest experiences that has ever occurred to me was once during a hot summer when I was a freshman in high school, I was going on a beach trip with a couple of friends in an old camper that was lent to us by one of their parents. We didn’t realize how or when it happened, but the gas tank had a seal leak and was dripping gas. Halfway on the trip we ran out of gas and had to do a temporary fix with duct tape, and pushed the camper five miles on the freeway shoulder to the nearest exit gas station while wearing only colorful swimming trunks and having every car passing by honking at us. It was quite an experience.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?If I wasn’t tied by time and financial constraints I would most definitely go on a motorcycle road trip spanning the whole north-south length of the Americas from my city all the way to the Alaskan Arctic Circle and way back to Mexico and central America, finishing in Chile.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?Although it's not in my life plan, if I ever have children I would like to pass on to them sound ethics, critical thinking skills and good moral values.
