Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience?I would say my most memorable childhood experience was traveling the US with my family on vacations. We would take about two weeks during each summer and drive to a destination (Grand Canyon, Glacier National Park, Montana) and we got to see the country, or pretty much most of it. It has made a huge impact on me and who I am and I love to travel. I remember going to these places growing up. They were such amazing experiences and I will never forget them.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I would say my mom because I believe our mannerisms are very similar. I consider myself an easygoing individual who is calm and influential. I can be intense, but my mom and I act very similar and I think I most resemble my mom by a lot.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire honesty, a sense of genuineness and a caring nature. I look for good qualities in others, as that's what I grew up around. I really never had those of questionable traits a part of my life. I believe that helped me be a better person as well.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?Funniest thing I ever did was a few years ago when a whole group of us rented the ice of a local arena for a pick-up hockey game. During the game I kind of goofed around and was just having some fun with the family and friends that were in the stands watching. I started doing things from a funny hockey movie "Slap Shot" and made everyone watching laugh. I did not realize that a puck came to me and I was on my way ahead of everyone else trying to catch up to the puck for a break away. However I was not quite quick enough and then decided to dive last second and fell flat on my stomach. I gave everyone a good laugh and that was just fine by me.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would travel each continent and explore this wonderful world which we call ours. I cannot choose one place over another, I would just want to travel the world and go everywhere I can get to honestly. I love to explore, it's a big part of who I am, and I love to travel.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I would like to pass on to them my experiences and open them to the endless possibilities one can accomplish by working hard and having willpower and motivation to do anything you want. Also, I would pass my love for sports, hockey and golf particularly. I am all about not regulating and dictating, and more for personal exploration, so I just hope that I can pass on my good qualities and traits to my children and expect them to be as respectful and kind as I am.
