Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? My most memorable childhood experience is moving into our first big house. This was a big deal to me personally because I got my own room. I had always shared a room with my younger brothers with bunk beds, but moving made me feel older and more like a big brother.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?My uncle. I grew up at my grandfather's, and my uncle was like a big brother to me. But I was always reminded that I was his nephew which made growing up funny.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire honesty, loyalty and humility. These are traits that can create many connections in the business world and in the real world in many positive ways. I've met many people who have had fallouts because they were being boastful or throwing people under the bus for their own success.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? When I was younger I was in the Nutcracker play. During the scene when we do the high kicks my shoe flew off into the crowd. It was embarrassing at the time but it's something to laugh about now. My family constantly brings it up when we all get together for the holidays, so it's something I always know is coming.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would love to travel to, and backpack through Europe. I would love to see places like London, France, Italy and honestly make my way to Sweden. I made a good friend in high school who was an exchange student from Sweden who I've stayed connected with, who always tells me such great things about it. Definitely a perspective change I would love to have.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I would pass on the art pieces that I've made. Also, a lot of cool shirts that I've made that I found at vintage shops. I would pass on my clothes because I know that they would still be pretty cool. I'm very into the arts and music scenes right now, so finding and creating your own clothes and hats is something that I know can be timeless. Kids definitely appreciate their parents' vintage clothing.
