Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience?Going hunting with my father. I've been hunting since as early as I can remember. I started out as a spectator with a BB gun and gradually advanced to hunter. It was being outdoors in nature where I found true peace and serenity. There's an inherent sense of tranquility that you experience when you're away from the city and you can hear and see nature in its unadulterated state of being. Animals run freely, crickets chirp constantly and you can see the stars at night. Hunting became more of a reason to get away from the stresses of the city and of your day to day life. My love of nature is a constantly evolving passion and desire.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I relate most closely to my cousin. We are thirteen years apart, but we're both only children and she's been my assumed older sister since I was born. I was the little brother that she always wanted but never got. We both have the same sense of humor so we can generally laugh at situations without even saying a word, just a simple look at each other and there's an instant agreement. She left the town where we grew up at age eighteen to attend college. I've always wanted to attend the same university and now I am. So I'm somewhat following in her footsteps. We both love music, the art scene, helping people and sweets. I've always been there for her and vice versa and that will always continue.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I most admire honesty and kindness.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?Once I won a $25 drink tab at a club for my killer dance moves. There was no contest. I was just dancing and the club employees were impressed. I never cashed-in that drink tab.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?It is my dream to travel to eastern Asia to study the religions. I would love the opportunity to learn and grow spiritually.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?Honesty. Kindness. Happiness.
