Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience?I would have to say that the most memorable childhood experience was when my dog went missing for several days. My father and I looked everywhere for him and did not find any sign of him. I loved him very much and was worried sick. Eventually, though, one morning my dad opened the door to go to work and there he was. He had obviously been in a fight but otherwise he was alright. This was a terrifying experience but I learned to appreciate my friends.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I definitely identify with my little brother. We are alike in many ways. He is sort of me, if I was always funny and never serious about anything. He is usually calm and joking about everything. He reminds me a great deal of myself sometimes in his perspective on several subjects.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire someone who takes care of their loved ones no matter what it takes. My father and mother struggled through the years I grew up but never let it show. Sacrifices were definitely made but me and my brothers were never on the chopping block. True grit and stamina for life's unexpected challenges are the most admirable traits of all.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?Well I guess funny to me means at my expense. Therefore, one time I was walking home with my brothers from school and they were taking their sweet time, knowing I had to go to the bathroom. They took just long enough that I ended up peeing myself in front of my house and they had a really good laugh about it for years after that.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would travel every place I've never been, like to Tibet, China, Japan and England. This list would never end because I've never been outside the US. I hope to get that opportunity someday soon.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I hope they get my heart for others and my hope for the future. I've been told I have a huge heart and I'm proud of it. I've also been told I am undeniably positive no matter what's happening. I hope that would be somewhere in the DNA of my offspring.
