What is your most memorable childhood experience?My favorite memory must include my days as an athlete and teammate. This is where I made most of my friends and spent a lot of time as a child.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I identify mostly with my dad because of our similar interests and our perspectives in life. We both enjoy the outdoors and time away from work yet we still find it necessary to enjoy the work we do on a daily basis.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire humility most of all and I think it is a great determinant of character. Also, I appreciate an individual's ability to look at poor situations from a positive point of view. There are only so many things in your control.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?While some may not think it's very funny, I think any mistakes or failures are funny as long as they have minor consequences. Something like a waterskiing faceplant would be up there with the funniest.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would be happiest in the mountains. This may certainly be in any country, but I have found great happiness in places like Peru and the Swiss Alps. Not only are there fun things to do, I love time to reflect, and the mountains provide just that.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?A holistic understanding of people, other cultures, and the world. Even as I get older I find myself learning new things about places and people I've never heard of. I think you get the most out of your time on Earth by accomplishing this.
