Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience?Spending time with my family. Once my family split the cost of a beach house with my aunts and uncles. While we were there, we got a lot of beach time and played card games when we weren't outside in the sand. It was the best!
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I am similar to all my siblings in some way, but I most resemble my older brother. We look similar and have many of the same hobbies. For example, he was great at drums, so I took to percussion. I ended up graduating from college with a degree in music.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire passion, kindness, and dedication.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?In high school, I used to wear this t-shirt that said "Who's Hot?" that I bought from a restaurant. People would see the shirt and ask "Who's Hot?" so I would jokingly respond "You are!" One time, one of my best friend's moms asked "Who's Hot?" and without thinking I responded "You are!" right to her face. To make the situation worse, my best friend was right next to me when I said it. It was embarrassing, of course, but it is still something we look back at and laugh about all the time.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would go all over Europe. I would start with France, Italy, and Germany. I admire their culture, their love for the arts, the people, and (last but not least) the food.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?My appreciation for music and the arts. I worked very hard in school so that I could have scholarships to study what I wanted to. Currently, I am reaping the rewards by teaching music to make a living. If he/she wants to pursue a passion, I hope that I could pass on that sense of dedication so that he/she can study whatever he/she wants to.
