Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? My most memorable childhood experience is about my father teaching me how to ride a bike. I had originally received a bicycle for Christmas at the age of four. Naturally, I had no balance and was afraid to hit the ground. So my father placed training wheels on for my safety. After a few months of practicing I told my father I was ready to give my bike a try without the training wheels. After the second attempt, I was able to maintain my balance and place my feet down when I would come to a stop, making this truly one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I personally identify myself closest with my father. There is nothing I keep from my dad. He's my best friend. He didn't just provide for me, he raised me as his best friend. There is nothing that could possibly come between the bond my father and I have developed.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I personally admire when people have an open mind and a good character. Looks might be important for some people but I think someone's demeanor is far more important. It can tell someone how that individual thinks, acts, and carries him or herself. The second trait I look for is someone's physique. It's admirable when someone has the dedication and discipline to achieve a great body.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?Hands down, the funniest thing to ever happen to me was when I was a lifeguard during my high school days. I was known for playing pranks on my coworkers. Without knowing, my coworkers had something cooking for me. I went to the pool deck to relieve my friend who was lifeguarding at the time. As we rotated he decided I needed to go for a swim. He gave my coworkers a signal and they all came rushing to hold me down. At that point it was five guards vs. myself. They took me to the edge and just as they were getting ready to launch me in, my manager showed up. She stopped everyone from dunking me into the pool and asked them to put me down. She immediately said "Guys, what's going on here? You are well aware that this is my part!" and she immediately pushed me into the pool!
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?If money would be irrelevant, I would travel to Hawaii. Beautiful beaches and beautiful people. I could not imagine a more enjoyable and desirable place to travel to. Just imagine relaxing on a lounge chair facing the ocean and feeling the breeze on your face while holding a beverage of your choosing.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I would like to pass every drop of knowledge I contain in my head. I believe there is nothing more valuable than knowledge. In addition, I would like to pass on to my children any good and bad experience. We learn through experiences and therefore should value every experience we come in contact with- good or bad.
