Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? My most memorable childhood experience would have to be spending a week out of the year on my aunt's farm. We would wake up early in the morning and head out to feed the animals, collect eggs and work on the farm. Then around noon we would head back, make lunch and have the rest of the day to do whatever we wanted. For a city kid, nothing was better than to have such freedom, and to be around animals all day.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I would say I identify with both my mom and dad in different aspects of my life. I identify with my dad's passion for his work and my mom's compassion for family and others.
What character traits do you admire in an individual? The traits I admire most in others would have to be honesty and passion.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?The first thing to come to mind was when I was around five years old. I had a pet mouse. It was my first pet and I took great care of him. He was solid brown and I named him Cinnamon. One day Cinnamon got sick and my parents said they took him to the doctor. Next day he was back in his cage but he was no longer solid, he now looked younger and had a big white spot on his head. I asked them what had happened and why he now had a white spot. They told me it was because of the medication they had given him to make him feel better. This lasted for at least two years. Cinnamon would get old and they would bring him to the doctor and he would come back younger looking with new spots. Come to find out, of course, they were just getting me new mice.

I usually visit once a year to help children with their reading, writing and computer skills. When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?If I were to pass along words of advice to my children they would be to always be bettering yourself, never get stuck in your ways, be compassionate, be honest and always do your best.
