What is your most memorable childhood experience? | It was the 4th of July. I must have been around twelve or so. It was the first time I was able to waterski on one ski, which I had been working on all summer. There was a slight drizzle but I begged to try one more time before we covered the boat. As I got up, the excitement kept building until I was doing it! The sky was clearing a couple miles away, and the sun was peeking through the clouds producing a rainbow. Best skiing of my life, and a memory I will never forget. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | Either my brother or my mom. I identify closely with both in different ways. I moved around quite a bit when I was young, always having to make new friends, but my bro was always there. We've been through a lot together. My mom and I have always had the same sense of humor, and can carry on conversations for hours. Sweet lady. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire intelligence and humility in people with influence. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | This one is no contest...in 7th grade science class I sat in front of the prettiest girl in school. I had a major crush on her, and was mustering the courage to ask her to the upcoming dance. We had sloppy joes for lunch that day, and a test in science class. As soon as the tests were handed out I felt it...I tried to finish the test quickly, but it was too late. It was loud and smelly, and no, I didn't go to the dance with her. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | Backpacking in Europe. I really enjoy history, the outdoors, and exercise. I feel that would be a very rewarding experience. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I have two kids. To have a strong moral compass has been the cornerstone, but I also think having life experiences by teaching independence is also very important. |
