What is your most memorable childhood experience? | At age thirteen I had the privilege of representing my home city in the World Pee Wee Hockey Championships. Playing on such a grand stage, in front of 12,000 + fans, was like nothing I'd ever experienced. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I most closely identify with my twin brother, who has always been my best friend.
I may know him better than be knows himself (I acknowledge this is somewhat of a cliché, but I believe it to be true), and I have always admired him for his mental fortitude, creativity, and interpersonal skills. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I most admire honesty and integrity; qualities that I believe have become increasingly scarce in recent years, given the proliferation of social media and America's tumultuous political climate. Though I do believe all citizens should have a platform, I would also submit that 'recreational activism', without a well-defined political agenda, almost entirely belies these traits. However, I do believe there are virtuous individuals out there who set out to create true change, and make a real contribution to the discourse. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | While competing in the 200m at a local track and field event my track shoe broke apart, forcing me to finish the race barefoot and ultimately out of contention. I could not help but have a giggle with my coach. Not much I could do about that! |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would love to travel the north coast of the Mediterranean someday, through Spain, France, and Italy. I've heard the beaches are beautiful, and nothing beats French cuisine. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | To my children I would say this: we may not necessarily have a pre-ordained purpose in life, but not seeing to it that you absolutely maximize your potential, with the unique gifts you have, borders on immoral. |
