Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience?Traveling in our van as a family to Canada to visit relatives. We would all take our big conversion van, and watch movies and play games along the way. Stopped at Niagara Falls a few times as well. I’ve always liked road trips since then.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?My mother. We have always been closest, and she has always respected and understood my actions as her son. When my parents divorced I stayed with her at first, and my sisters with my dad. My mom and dad have both always been there for me, but I feel like me and my mom are just a little more similar.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?Respectful, loving, caring, hardworking, and funny. Overall just a person that respects everyone, and it shouldn’t matter about race, ethnicity, or looks. All people should be treated equal.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?In high school I was dying my hair blond, which is what I thought, but my friends tricked me and it turned blue. My parents were a little upset at first, but thought it was funny later on. I dyed my hair a few more times with no trickery at all. It's funny seeing photos with that hair color.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?Every country. I’ve always had a passion to travel, and have too many places in this world I want to see. I probably won’t even be able to see close to all the places I want, but would like to at least stop at each country once.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?To love and respect every person in this world, and to find something they are passionate about to pursue in life. If they find what they love, then it won’t seem like work to them. I just want them to understand life will give you ups and downs. You just have to find the right ways to deal with them.
