Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? One of my most memorable moments during my childhood had to have been the day I rode my horse in the Thanksgiving Day parade. I remember being so happy to lead the parade and over the course of the day I can distinctly remember looking over in the crowd and seeing my mom mouth to me that she loved me. I have several great memories from my childhood growing up on the ranch but this one sticks out because of the amount of preparation it took to get to the point where I could lead the parade.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I would have to say my mom is the closest person I identify with. She’s a remarkable lady; strong, bold, and extremely intelligent. She’s the one person that I know that will always be in my corner. And although we may not agree on things all of the time she’s still someone I call about four times a week- just to reconnect and make sure things are going well for her.
What character traits do you admire in an individual? The most important trait in a human to me is resilience. It takes a special type of person to face countless adversities and to never allow them to affect their ability to continue. This resilience or belief is something that I believe has really made me successful in my professional career. There is no obstacle I cannot overcome, and that belief in myself has made me successful.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?I’m a very gregarious guy so it’s hard to pinpoint the funniest moment. But I do think that anytime I spend with close friends those moments present themselves. We're all lighthearted and enjoy pranking each other and cracking jokes, so there isn't just one moment that’s funny.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I’m big on traveling and experiencing other cultures. So, if time and money were no object I think I would probably spend substantive time visiting all the seven wonders of the world. And maybe even trying to see the some of the ancient world wonders as well since I’m really into human history and cultures.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?Beyond my dashing good looks hahaha jk. I think the best part of my personality is that I’m cautiously optimistic while also being extremely resilient. I’m an analytical but practical thinker and I believe those traits are something that I would really like to pass on. Additionally, I’m always trying to learn something new every day. I would want my children to be explorers of thought, while also being practical about their expectations, and to know that no matter what happens there's always another chance for an epic ending, so don’t dwell on the negative things but focus on how great you’ll be in the next moment.
