Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience?I remember going on a trip with Indian Guides. It was a memorable experience because there were so many activities we got to do like hiking, camping, biking, swimming, Frisbee golf, etc. In addition, the fishing at the dock was incredible. There were so many fish that were visible to the naked eye, and I caught over twenty fish. I caught many different species of fish, even a stingray on one catch. I’ve always been a huge fan of fishing since I was little.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?Dad, because he is a great role model, and very active.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?Honesty, tenacity, work ethic, empathy, and consistency.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?I had a teacher in high school who had a habit of embarrassing students if he didn’t like their behavior or participation in class. One time at the end of class, he caught my friend drawing something inappropriate on my returned test paper (I didn’t realize it at the time) and just gave him a stare and told him he shouldn’t be doing that. The next day, the students were supposed to present current events, but no one did theirs properly, and people were misbehaving. So out of nowhere the teacher decided to tell the whole class about my friend’s drawing. Everyone just burst out with laughter. Although embarrassing, I look back on it as a funny memory from high school.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?Okinawa, because I have never been there, it is beautiful, and where some of my grandparents are from.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?Wisdom from my experiences growing up, and advice.
