Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? The most memorable experience of my childhood is a memory I also often bring to mind when faced with current, everyday living. Running through the straight halls of my childhood home, the cool wooden floor beneath my feet and the summer-near-autumn sunlight reflecting off the floor, straight into my parents' bedroom, meeting their smiling faces.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?My mother. Her attitude, personality, and sheer willpower are everyday reminders I carry her with me in my personality.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?Self-awareness, prudence, bravery, contemplative, and selfless.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? While I cannot remember what was said or done exactly, I have fond memories of spending many warm, summer afternoons bouncing on the trampoline with my neighborhood friends and laughing uncontrollably.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would travel with my partner to the Romanian countryside to purchase a moderately sized villa, tucked away into the forest and mountainside.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I would teach them that no fine work can be done without concentration, self-sacrifice, doubt, and toil. And to always be mindful of their capabilities and be self-aware at all times, because that knowledge will save them from vanity.
