Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? My most memorable experience is actually a collection. I will always cherish the times we would take three-week family road trips to visit distant relatives in Mexico. These were the times when my whole family would be together, when I learned that I love to travel, and when I was able to speak to my grandfather while he was still alive. These were times when I felt my family was always at their happiest.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I most closely identify with my oldest brother. I didn't actually meet him until I was six years old, because of his military service. But we've always had similar tastes in music, a similar sense of humor and similar self-reliance for life goals and education.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire tenacity, consideration for others, and self-reliance most in an individual. But also a sense of humor; we can't always be so serious when it comes to life.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?Hmmm. There are just too many to choose from. It's hard to decide. If I had to choose one, I would have to say the time my older brother didn't know our kitchen floor was wet and slipped. It was funny not because my brother slipped but because my other brother, who was next to me, laughed so hard that milk from the cereal he was eating actually came out of his nose.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?Well, I have already been to Asia. I think maybe traveling through Europe or Central America.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I would like to pass on to my children my love of music. I used to be a musician (at least amateur) but gave it up when adulthood rolled by. I think taking my kids to shows and having them learn an instrument would be good.
