What is your most memorable childhood experience? | I remember boating down a river with my brothers in a shoddy little boat we found. Eventually the boat sank from leaks and we had to swim to shore. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify the most with my middle brother (I'm the youngest), he's also a driven person constantly in motion with a craving for exciting experiences. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I really admire direct and honest communication styles. They may come across as abrasive sometimes but you always know where you stand with them. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | It's hard to narrow it down to one event, but one thing that still strikes me is going to a very remote outpost in Afghanistan with about a hundred people and meeting a guy who grew up a few blocks from me; and then seeing him again two months later at some ruins in Cozumel Mexico. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I'd like to eventually see more of the Middle East for the people, food, and captivating landscapes. But I really want to tour all of Europe, everything from Austria down to Hungary and Turkey. The architecture is so dramatic and imposing. It just looks unreal. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | Two of the most important things I want to pass on to my children are problem solving ability and a Zen attitude. |
