Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? My most memorable childhood experience would probably be riding Expedition Everest at Disney World like five times in one day with my cousins. The adrenaline and excitement definitely burned this memory in my brain.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I most closely identify with my older brother. His personality is extremely similar to mine, so it's easy to turn to him with my problems.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I most admire honesty in an individual (which is why I'm not a business major). It's easy to just fake your way through life, which is why I really appreciate a genuine person.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? This is probably the hardest question on this page. There have been lots of funny moments so I'll just choose a recent one. Over the summer I coached a team of T-ballers, and for some reason one of the T-baller's mother's friends was in love with me. My fellow coaches and I took the whole team to a minor league baseball game, and mid-game that T-baller came up to me and asked why I wouldn't talk to his mother's friend who thought I was cute. I looked over to see that the friend was mortified, and I was pretty embarrassed too, so I just said I couldn't, to which the T-baller responded by punching me in the privates in front of the whole team, with fifteen five year olds all laughing and encouraging him. I made them all run a lap in the next practice.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would choose to backpack in Thailand. I was an active member of my Boy Scout troop growing up and grew to love being outdoors; and my high school world history teacher, a personal hero of mine, frequently backpacked across Thailand and loved the country.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I would like to pass on a good work ethic. I know it's cliché, but "hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." They'll have lots of opportunities in their life, but if they don't learn to work towards them then it'll all be for nothing.
