Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience?Camping trips with my family: it’s where I fell in love with the outdoors which is a huge part of my life. It took a lot of childhood distractions away and without me knowing at the time allowed for some awesome bonding moments.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I identify with my father the most. He has an amazing work ethic and I feel he passed that on to me as I find myself often taking more difficult but rewarding paths in life. He has a goofy sense of humor; which for better or worse I also seem to to have inherited.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?Integrity and compassion. They’re simple things we’re taught at a young age but the world would be a lot better place if we followed along with those basic principles.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?A very unfunny answer: I wish I could nail a specific thing down; there’s been so many throughout my life. I’ve been fortunate that humor has always played a big role in my life and friends and family always keep me laughing.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?The Seychelles or the Christmas Island/South Pacific islands are on the top of my list. I’ve spent a lot of time in mountains so a beach setting would be a nice change of pace. The remoteness and ability to unplug and relax is highly appealing.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?Work ethic, compassion, humility, patience, sense of humor, and confidence.
