What is your most memorable childhood experience?My most memorable childhood experience is getting my first drum set and falling in love with music. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and, honestly, I don't know what I'd do without it. I started playing drums at a very early age then picked up classical guitar in high school and piano in college.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I closely identify with my Grandfather because he has always supported me and encouraged me to pursue my passions. He is a very intelligent man and he is probably the reason that I decided to pursue computer science. He is a professor of computer science.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I think every individual has different traits that make them special, but I would say that I admire honesty, communication, and creativity above all else.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?The funniest thing to happen to me might be getting tested and almost treated for Lyme disease. The rash was on the crease of my arm, but the doctor finally realized it had been caused by playing guitar for long periods of time.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?Without money and time constraints, I would travel to many different places. I would travel to several different countries and settle down in the place that suits me best, where I can contribute to society and enjoy my free time!
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?Most importantly, I would like to pass on the idea that following your passions is worthwhile. I believe that creativity is the most precious trait that humans have and that, sometimes, we don't let children truly explore their creativity beyond a certain age. I think that encouraging and nourishing a child to continue to think and act creatively can lead to wonderful things later in life!
