Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? At first glance it might not be the most enjoyable childhood experience, but my most memorable childhood experience is witnessing my parents go through a separation. The experience of living in a home that is filled with anger and resentment was very challenging to me as a kid.I was confused as to why they were arguing, I felt guilty as if it was my fault. What makes this awful experience memorable is the fact that my parents never gave up on each other. Yes they separated, but they never divorced. They took the needed time to take a step away and figure out what they wanted and what was needed. They eventually reunited, talked through their problems and found solutions to make things work. Because of that, I learned that giving up on things you cared about was a coward's solution. Things take time and work to blossom and sometimes that work challenges us to our core. Thanks to my parents, I know to keep pushing no matter what life throws at me.
