Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? When I was twelve years old, I spent a month in a resort town in the mountains of India with my extended family. We all stayed together, cooking, playing games, and just spending time together.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I identify most with my dad. I learned a lot of things from him, like being helpful, forgiving, focused during stressful situations, and never giving up on someone or something.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire empathy. In today's world, when people are self-centered, I believe it is very hard to find people who are truly empathetic. To me empathy is the mother of all traits.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?Once I spoke French with a person from France and he couldn't understand what I was saying and ended up responding in English. My freinds and I rolled on the floor and laughed for a long time after this happened to me. This is likely because my French accent is very hard to understand and I probably mispronounced the words.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would travel to Norway. It's beautiful and lovely. I would hike, spend time at the fjords, and climb mountains--just be in nature.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I would want to pass on my generosity and willingness to help anyone in need.
