Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? My dad always used to take me to get donuts before daycare. One day he didn't get himself any donuts and I asked him why. He told me he didn't have enough money that day. I looked at my last donut and knew what I had to do. I offered him the best part. With my mouth full of my last powdered donut hole, I asked him, "Dad, do you want to lick my fingers?"
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I'm most like my dad. We look the same, act the same, and even make similar life choices. I'm lucky too, because he's honestly the best dad I could have ever asked for. He has the kindest eyes when he smiles.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?Kindness and honesty will get you in the door, but ambition and creativity will keep you there. I'm a lucky guy because my wife has all four.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?My email got hacked once. To be fair, I left myself open on accident. They also left themselves open, though. They used their phone number as the security number for my account. I couldn't resist, so I decided to call them and ask for my account back. No threats or anything like that. I simply talked to him about his life choices and why he spent his time doing something that just hurt people. He scoffed at my advice and hung up. About a week later he called me back and apologized! He gave me all my account access back and even some pointers on cyber security. We talk now and then and he doesn't do that stuff anymore. Nice guy, really.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I've always wanted to see Spain, because of my heritage, but I dream of living in Norway (during the summer months).
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I hope that they have some of the same traits that I got from my dad and grandpa. We're sincere, loving, and independent people. We constantly create new things and there aren't many challenges that we can't overcome. These are exactly the kind of traits I'd love to pass down.
