Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? We were always moving around from state to state because my dad was in the army. I saw it as an opportunity to meet new people and never had trouble finding friends. The first few weeks in a new home were always hectic but fun trying to get adjusted to everything.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?My dad and I are very close. I have a good relationship with my whole family, but my dad and I often joke around and have a lot of fun together. We also have the same opinions on a lot of things, so it makes for easy conversation.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?Honesty is a big thing for me because what is the point of talking to someone if you can't trust them? I like when people are easy going and are not too self-absorbed or fake. Being humorous and having similar ways of thinking are added bonuses.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?I used to wear safety glasses when I was potty training because I was worried that I would get hurt somehow. My family has very old videos of me, and we all get a good laugh out of this weird habit that I picked up.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would go to every continent because not too many people can say they've done that. I'd like to experience other cultures while I'm around the world. I also want to go see the Aurora Lights because they seem like a very cool experience.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? Most importantly I want my kids to be as ambitious as I am. Materialistic things like money can only get them so far if they don't have the desire to succeed. I'll also teach them life lessons and things that they simply won’t learn in a classroom. Hopefully I'll provide a healthy household for them to grow up in and have as an example for their own families.
