Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? We traveled a lot when I was young. I have been to Mexico many times and to most of the other continents.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I identify most with my uncle. Many of his mannerisms and opinions are very similar to me. For example, he eats his food cold, enjoys fishing, and likes to ballroom dance.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire individuals who are hardworking. I admire people who can come up with and successfully execute plans. For example, people who make smart decisions early on, or people who run businesses. I find that people who are capable of these kinds of things think a certain kind of way.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?Once when I was around 15 years old, I went to see a movie with friends. I saw my old music teacher from elementary school buying snacks in line and went to go say hi. I asked if she remembered me. She said yes, and that it was good to see me. I hugged her and said bye and went back to my friends. My friend who I have known since elementary looked at me and said, "Dude that wasn't her" I was confused because if that wasn't her then why did she go along with it and act like she knew me. She hugged me and everything. I told him you are mistaken. Months later I was walking down the street and I ran into my actual former music teacher. I asked if she remembers running into me at the movies. Turns out she hasn't been to that particular movie house in years. Which means the lady I hugged was a complete stranger and she just went along with it when I called her by the wrong name.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would travel to New York. I have been in the past and it is amazing. There is more life on one block there than there is in any mall where I live now. It’s where Christmas movies take place and where superheroes live. I want to be a part of it someday.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I would love to have a child that is interested in design. I imagine I could be running a design firm someday and I think it would be a dream come true if I had a child that became an architect and joined my group. This way he would not have to struggle with not getting hired, and we can work on projects together I can teach him everything I wish I knew about the industry sooner.
