Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? My parents divorced when I was about 12, and I remember thinking that I would make sure I would never marry someone and have children with them unless I knew without question that I could spend the rest of my life with that person.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I identify with my father. He was the figure I most followed and who guided me growing up and has shaped who I am today.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire people who have the mental discipline to do things that may not be fun or comfortable in order to better themselves (for their health, financially, professionally, or socially).
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?I'm not sure of the funniest thing that’s ever happened to me, but I like to tease and prank my long-term girlfriend. One time while I was cooking dinner, I brought her a bowl of sliced green bell peppers but threw in a small slice of jalapeno. She ate it reacted the way I was hoping. However, I made the mistake of rubbing my eye with the dried jalapeno juice and we spent the next twenty minutes with our roles reversed as I stood over the bathroom sink trying to wash my eye fruitlessly.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would return to my favorite places I have visited, with the people I love, to show them and experience the place with them.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I would like to pass on the ability to think critically, and to form meaningful and well-supported ideas.
