Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience?I loved visiting my grandma’s house for the summer. I would go every summer and spend the whole two months there. We would go out to parks and water parks and bring the dog out to the field and run all day. She also had two giant Rottweilers in the back that she always told me never to go near, but I always did anyway. They didn’t mind me at all. I used to love summers there, a lot of my family lives near her, so people would come by often just to say what’s up or hang out for the day.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I identify most with my father. We look just alike according to everyone, but I’ve always hated being compared to him. Not because he’s a bad person or anything, I’ve just always loved being my own person. Maybe that came with being an only child for so long before I had sisters. It’s not all bad, I haven’t had too much trouble with girls.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire determination and perseverance. There’s nothing better than someone who knows what they want. Not only that, but someone who is willing to go out and get it themselves. Work at it a day at a time, and make it count. Never give up.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?I pooped myself once, back in the military. Had about 3 minutes before formation, went to the urinal to let out a fart and there was just more than a fart.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would travel to Japan because the culture is unmatched. It has beautiful buildings, a cool language, and all my favorite foods (minus some of the squids and all that jazz). They can keep that for themselves.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I’m not really sure, I guess that depends on how much I have to pass on. What would I keep in the grave? Probably nothing, so I guess they can have everything.
