What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I identify closely with my mother. She has always been there for me and has always encouraged me to do what I believe is right and the best for me. For example, after I graduated law school, I really wanted to try starting my own business instead of getting a job at an established firm. She supported that decision, and I will always be grateful for that, as well as her care of me throughout my life.

What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?The funniest thing that ever happened to me was when I first started elementary school. Due to cultural differences, I had grown up listening to my older cousins in China tell me about their elementary school experiences. School is longer over there and there is a midday break of around two hours where everyone takes a nap. The whole first day of school I kept asking my teacher when we were going to take a nap. She was so confused and kept telling me there was no nap. It was embarrassing at the time but looking back it was quite hilarious.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would travel to Japan. I have really wanted to go and experience the culture for a while now. I really like the fashion and general vibe of the area. Also, Japan has a lot great places to visit and things to do so I feel like It would be a great vacation spot to be for a month or so. I really like the aesthetic of the country and I feel like it would be a great place to experience.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I would like to pass on the fact that a lot of things that a child or teenager may seem like a big deal are actually not. I feel like it is very easy for a teenager to feel confused and down about a lot of things when they grow up due to societal pressures or the endless competitions the school system puts kids under. It is important for these growing children to know that many of the things that everyone thinks matters at that time are not as big or important as they feel. That way they can hopefully not go through as much angst and focus more on what they want to do or achieve in life.
