What is your most memorable childhood experience?My most memorable childhood experience was buying my first car. I worked hard for three summers leading up to my sixteenth birthday and finally saved up enough to buy a cheap Nissan Altima. The whole experience was extremely rewarding and taught me a lot.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I most closely identify with my sister. She and I get along really well and have always been close. We have similar personal goals and generally enjoy the same things.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire honesty, selflessness, and resolve. I think these traits are integral to being a good person. I find that successful people usually possess these traits.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?A few of my friends and I entered a tough mudder race. We had a great time but, towards the end of the race, I slipped pretty hard off the wall and into a mud pit. Somebody snapped a picture of my fall, and it ended up on the front page of the event recap on the mudder website the next day!
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?If time and money were not issues, I would travel to Greece, New Zealand, and Ethiopia. One of my closest friends in college was from Ethiopia and his descriptions of the country sold me on traveling there. I'm attracted to Greece and New Zealand because the pictures I've seen of them are stunning. Both countries seem to have a lot of natural beauty.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?Primarily, I want to pass on values of hard work, integrity, and empathy. I want to give them the tools to find purpose and meaning in their lives. I want them to be happy and fulfilled.
