Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? My first meeting with my (now deceased) family dog, Bandit, stands out. A family friend gave him to us as a puppy. I remember rushing down to open the door, and just seeing his little face as he sprinted across the yard and straight into the house. It took me like a good hour of laying down with this sweet, but very shy, puppy for him to finally warm up to me, but we were best friends after that. He was my first tattoo, a beautiful portrait right over my heart where he lives forever.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I identify most with my oldest brother. Not only do we share similar music taste and general interests, but he's also a fantastic chef. I like to learn from him because he has a much nicer kitchen and 10 more years of experience! We like to carry on our father's culture through cuisine.
What character traits do you admire in an individual? The top three traits I admire are honesty, open-mindedness, and passion.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?The first thing that comes to mind is getting the police called to search for me in San Francisco when I was a kid. I disappeared because I, without saying a word, suddenly ran off in a public park as I was going to crap my pants after a long car ride. My parents freaked out when they realized they didn't know where I was, and next thing I knew the police were knocking on the bathroom stall.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?Literally everywhere. Why? Hello! Time and money are the only reasons NOT to.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I hope to pass on my music taste, along with my collection of records. Not to mention my instruments and studio equipment. All my kitchen utensils and pots and pans (high quality stuff). If this was a more philosophical question, then my curiosity for what life truly means, and passion for living it.
