What is your most memorable childhood experience?My most memorable childhood experience was going to the river with my family during the Fourth of July. It was always fun to watch the fireworks and be with friends and family. The best year was the year our friends let us go with them on their boat to watch from the river, instead of on the boardwalk.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?The immediate family member I closely identify with would be my father. Even though he was always deployed from the day I was born until I was eighteen, I felt a very strong connection to him. He always ensured that while he was home, he spent every last minute with his kids. He was my superhero growing up.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire patience, loyalty, respect, faith, and trust. These are five traits that come to mind when I think of traits that I love having in a person. It gives you the ultimate upper hand when dealing with others and the ability to be a great person and citizen.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?My dog is a character, and I can say that about all of my dogs. I have only owned huskies and they are children. They talk back and they love and respect their owner. One day my dog decided she was going to do what could be considered parkour. She hopped and bounded between furniture and one day when someone knocked on our door and she missed her landing on the couch. Thankfully it’s a soft couch, so it was funny.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would visit Switzerland and the European continent. I have never been there, and I want to go to the country where my family is from. I want to see the highlands and mountains where my family once lived.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I want to pass grace on to them. I hope they have the ability to think before doing, and to realize that no matter how fast paced something is going, it is important to always think of the outcome. I want them to have love in their hearts and the ability to find happiness and that they will always do great in life as long as they put their mind to it. I want them to remember that I love them, and I’ll always be there for them.
