About Fairfax Cryobank’s Be A Sperm Donor program

Fairfax Cryobank was established in 1986 to help prospective parents in need achieve their goal of growing their families. Through donor sperm, same-sex couples, single moms by choice, couples going through male infertility, and more can make their dreams of parenthood a reality.

While we work with families worldwide, Fairfax Cryobank has 6 sperm donation locations in the US, including Washington, DC, Austin, TX, Houston, TX, Los Angeles, CA, Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, and Philadelphia, PA.

Sperm Donor Requirements

To provide a diverse and varied set of donors from all backgrounds, lifestyles, and locations, Fairfax Cryobank looks for men who want to help families in need.

We are currently seeking healthy men of all backgrounds, between the ages of 18 – 39. Donors must have completed at minimum a high school, trade school/certificate program, college, or grad school degree.

The sperm donation program asks for a minimum six-month commitment. Once you get past the screening process, most sperm donors donate once or twice a week, during quick donation visits. Our team understands our donors are busy students and employees and does our best to work around your schedule.

How much are sperm donors paid?

On average, sperm donors are paid up to $4000 over the 6 month program, getting paid $150 per donation visit. Ask the sperm bank near you to learn how to earn more, including referral bonuses. Sperm donor salaries vary depending on the donor’s location, specimen quality, and donation frequency.

How to Be a Sperm Donor

Ready to donate sperm? The first step is to submit your application, which will be reviewed by the team at the sperm bank donation location nearest you. They will be in touch to let you know if you are eligible to continue with the in-person screening process, which includes semen specimen testing, interviews, and more. Your sperm bank team will notify you if you’ve made it into the program.

As an active sperm donor, you will donate once or twice a week during a 6 month period.
