Q: What is your job title and what do you do in your position at Fairfax Cryobank?
A: I’m the Director of Client Development for Fairfax Cryobank and am responsible for maintaining client relations with existing customers and developing new accounts with physicians, fertility clinics, and OB/GYN offices. I also oversee the Cryobank’s storage program and coordinate the transfer of semen, oocyte, and embryo storage accounts to and from our 6 Cryobank locations.
I started working in 1997 at our Fairfax, VA laboratory and have been at our location in Austin, TX since 2003.
Q: What does your day to day look like at Fairfax Cryobank?
A: I consult daily with physicians and laboratory personnel of many of our clients to discuss topics ranging from our thorough testing and screening of donors, our commitment to the highest standard in specimen quality, and Fairfax Cryobank’s long-term storage services.
Q: How did you get started in this line of work?
A: I have always been interested in science and received a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a specialty in In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) in cattle. I completed my Master’s degree in Reproductive Physiology from The University of Tennessee and started working at Fairfax Cryobank after grad school.
Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
A: My favorite thing about my job is the satisfaction I get from knowing my work is helping people have healthy babies. I enjoy the opportunity to work with some great clinic partners and colleagues who all have the same goal of helping women become mothers and build happy families.
Q: How would you describe a clinic and Fairfax Cryobank partnership?
A: For over 30 years, Fairfax Cryobank has been creating long-standing partnerships and safely transporting high-quality frozen specimens to hundreds of physician practices in all 50 states and many foreign countries. I would describe the clinic partnership as a great relationship where we’re both working together to provide the best service for patients and are committed to fulfilling their journey to parenthood.

A: To become a partner with Fairfax Cryobank, physicians can call 1-800-338-8407 or e-mail info@fairfaxcryobank.com to request a Physician Account Set-Up form. The form is quick and easy to complete and allows clinics to list their contacts, shipping preferences, locations, and website. Once an account is set up, a packet will be mailed to the clinic’s office and will include informational materials and Fairfax Cryobank brochures to be distributed to patients.
Q: Since the beginning of the recent pandemic, how has this changed Fairfax Cryobank’s relationships with existing clinics and new clinics? If at all?
A: We have remained open and orders have been shipping as scheduled since the beginning of the pandemic. Fairfax Cryobank continues to support our partner clinics and is fully operating and available to answer any questions. We understand this is a time of uncertainty for prospective parents and have created a COVID resource page on our website to help guide and support them.
Q: Where do you see Fairfax Cryobank in 10 years?
A: I see Fairfax Cryobank continuing to be an industry leader in providing the highest quality donor sperm and exceptional services for our clinic partners and their patients. For the past 20 years, I’ve enjoyed working for Fairfax Cryobank and assisting physicians to build happy, healthy families and I look forward to many more successful years ahead.
